In honor of my sweet Willow’s quickly approaching third birthday, I have decided to pay tribute to my lady by having the next seven days be all about her, in what I like to call “One Week of Willow.”
Today, I want to share a little about my free spirited girl. When we decided to name her Willow, we chose her name because of the soft, flowing sound. We found it beautiful and also in keeping with the tone of her big sister’s name, Chloe (which means “little green shoot”). There is so much beauty in the world that God has given us and we wanted to name our children after this beauty. My Willow is almost exactly how I pictured her being before she was born. She is sensitive, sweet, loving, very much in love with exploring the outdoors. She is very intense and definitely a go-getter.
I have found her exploring more lately as we are out getting to know our world. Whether it be in the garden or at the beach, she is as close as she can get to her environment. Her intensity is one of the things I love most about her, even though it can lead to drama on occasion. Her existence has brought me great joy and I will forever be blessed by her.
