If your kids are like mine, they are always looking for something new and exciting to do. Today we made these great little boats. They took them in the pool and had a blast! Initially, I was making these for Willow’s Sunday school class for their “Jesus calms the storm” lesson, which they won’t do until August, but with the baby coming next month (or whenever), I’m trying to get all my lessons done early. We, of course, had to try them out to make sure they worked. 🙂 We can assure you that whether in the pool or the tub, these are fantastic fun.
What you need:
- 4 corks
- hot glue
- 1 tooth pick
- 1 sail (we used a 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of foam)
Assembly Instructions:
1. Glue your 4 corks together.
2. Put the tooth pick through the top and bottom of the foam.
3. Stick the foam into the second cork, right smack in the middle of the cork.
4. Optional step: take a tiny eye screw and screw it into the front of the boat. Attach a string to the eye screw for fun boat pulling!
And for our Sunday School lesson, we wrote a little something on the sail.
