We play outside a lot. A lot! There are several things my children love to do in the outdoors. You will find them biking, exploring, imagining wonderful worlds of magic and adventure, but one of their most favorite things to do outside is to build. They raid the wood buckets in the garage to find the best wood to build their house. Sometimes they are hiding from the bad men that fall from the sky (we can frequently see skydivers from our front yard). Today, like many others they were building a beautiful home and decorating it. Normally they do this right at the front door. And that’s where they began today.
They finished it up with a fence…and viola! A house.
Then Willow decided to ride her bike and Chloe was sad to have her house destroyed. So she found some nearby land and they all started again.
No, her glasses are not prescription. But she sure can rock them!
They insisted on a rock garden, because how lovely is a rock garden!?
And finished it up with a fence.
And then they spent quite a while playing in their house. Until they voluntarily swept out the garage (no complaints from this mama!). I love these impromptu team building projects they have. One of Scott’s plans when they get a little older is to give them a pile of wood (which he has measured out) and tell them to work together and build a bridge over the canal between the yards in our backyard. This is great practice for that!
