Today my partner in life, love, and happiness is another year older. We have been doing a lot lately to celebrate him and how much he means to our family. We have given his office a beautiful makeover (which I will share with you sometime soon). We threw him a fabulous party, complete with his favorite dinner and favorite cheesecake and fun decorations. He and I shared a wonderful date night where we dined at a restaurant with no children present! We have done our best to make him feel so very loved because he is such a special person in our lives. But for some reason, I feel like it’s just not enough. Scott is such a wonderful father and husband and does a terrific job providing for our family, fixing what needs fixed, and being the person in our house who makes sure we are safe and taken care of. How in one day can you possibly do enough to show a person like that just how special and loved they are? I really did spend a lot of the morning thinking about this. Even on his birthday he’s out in the garage trying to fix our water heater, in the office on a conference call, doing regular daily work for his job, and still he came in to put Laelia down for her nap with me. It then occurred to me that we are so blessed that we don’t have to cram it all into one day! We can take forever to show Daddy how much we love him and to celebrate him because we get to be with him every day.
