Game Night

Tonight was our first real game night in the Ferguson house.  And what a fun time it was!  Chloe had been looking forward to it for two days.  The girls got games for Christmas, but with Laelia being at the “handsy/grabby” stage, it has been tough to find the opportunity to play more than one game in a night.  She’s still handsy and grabby, but she’s a little older so it’s easier to reason with her…sometimes.

So, we popped popcorn on the stove, put a little chocolate in it of course, and sat down at the table for a few fantastically fun games!  I love playing the games I used to play as a kid.  It’s so much fun to play them with my own kids.  Of course there are some new ones thrown in there, but the old ones are so great!  It’s also nice to teach the girls that there are so many other ways to spend time together that do not involve television.  Sometimes they are sad that we made the decision to remove our TV from the house, but doing so many fun family things makes all the difference.  They don’t really ask about it anymore.  : )
