Well, even though her birthday has long since passed, I still wanted to do a fun birthday cake shoot with Laelia. My good intentions to do so had not worked out, but this week we were able to do it. I took her in her room where it was just her and me and closed the door so she wouldn’t be distracted. Initially, I had planned to use a white backdrop, but I just LOVE the natural home setting for pictures. It makes them so much more personal. She did a wonderful job for her pictures–hard to mess up eating a cake, huh? I thought I’d share some of them.
So, she didn’t dive right in and attack her cake by the fists full, but that’s just because she’s such a lady. Her sisters were also waiting just outside the door, and Laelia decided to share some with them.
