Tallow Soap vs. Store Bought

Stay away from this list of harmful chemicals! If you want to treat your skin to a cleansing experience that also nourishes and heals, your best bet is to find one that is made simply and with wholesome ingredients. If you wouldn’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin!

  • Parabens
  • Formaldehyde
  • Dioxane
  • Ethanolamine
  • Butylated hydroxyanisole
  • Urea
  • Sodium laureate sulfate
  • Fragrance
  • Mythylisothiazolinone
  • Triclosan
  • Phthalates
  • Diethanolamine
  • Dyes
  • Cocamidopropyl betaine
  • Polyethylene glycols

Unfortunately, many of these are also found in our foods. Separating from poisonous foods means you should also find other ways to keep poisons away from your body. Your pores absorb just about anything that touches them. And many of these chemicals are endocrine disrupters that bring about long term issues including infertility, birth defects, cancer, rashes, allergies, asthma, and heart conditions.

Using these poisons marked as soaps is not worth it! Find a good source for soaps (you can find mine HERE) and buy from them. You will be doing a service not only to your skin, but also to small, local businesses!

And if you’re environmentally conscious, imagine how much energy, etc. is wasted in these soap factories…something to think about.
