Today is always a favorite day of mine. I don’t know why I love it so much, but for some reason my birthday is so much fun for me. Even if nothing special is planned, it is a day I just love. I’m all grown up, but I still get excited about it.
Chloe was very excited about it too and wanted to pick out my cake. She has been talking about it for a while. She didn’t want to make it (which is a little odd because she just loves to be in the kitchen, working her magic). She wanted to go to the store with Daddy and Willow and choose the perfect cake for Mama.

Poor Chloe was pretty sick this morning. We started the day in the hospital because she had croup. In the past, we have gotten through it at home (she gets it every year) with a humidifier and a couple of looong nights. But at the same time as it flared up, the power went out and we had no way to treat her.
After a couple hours in the hospital we were home again. She spent a while on the couch with a fever and sleep deprivation. Poor baby.
So, we didn’t really have any plans for the day. I only want to have dinner alone with my partner in crime at some point in the next few weeks. We all snuggled, cleaned the garage, roller skated, and watched a movie together. They decorated the house with lots of pink balloons and gold curling ribbon.
All those voices were so precious as they sang to me.
Ignore my hair. I was so sleepy. I decided not to fix my hair today. : )
To top off our wonderful day, we went outside at twilight to watch the stars come out. We had never done that before as a family and enjoyed pointing out each little star as it appeared until there were so many we couldn’t keep up with them after a while.
