{Modge Podge Journal} another great gift idea!

very year I find one of the hardest people to find a gift idea for is my mom.  I don’t know why.  I know her quite well, so it shouldn’t be so hard.  I think one reason is because I don’t want it to be just any gift.  I want it to be perfect.  After tossing several ideas around, I decided to make her a Nana’s journal where she could record the special moments she has with her grandbabies.
This was a lot of fun for all of us.  The girls got to color, paint, cut, glue, and create a lot of the pages in the book.

Homemade Modge Podge Recipe: Equal parts Elmer’s glue and water!  Super easy and super cheap!!!

This fabulous contraption can be purchased at any office store or online.  Just put your paper in, give it a swipe, and you’ve got holes for your binding to spiral through (the spirals can also be purchased in an office store or online).

Each child has her own section in the book.  Each section is filled with drawings and paintings and blank pages for Nana to write.

We already celebrated Christmas with my mother and I can tell you that she absolutely loved her journal.  And the girls loved showing her all the parts that they contributed.  It was definitely the perfect gift!
